Im Zentrum von San
Gregorio befindet sich diese einzigartige, historische Unterkunft in
purem sizilianischem Stil. Die Residenz war im 19. Jahrhundert der
Landsitz des Prinzen Borghese. Gleich wenn man durch das Eingangstor
kommt, kommt man in einen grossen Park mit englischem Rasen, hohen
Bäumen und Parkbänken. Zu der Anlage gehören drei Wohngebäude und
eine Kapelle aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, die als historisches Gebäude
anerkannt ist und die auf Bitte des Bürgermeisters von San Gregorio
jedes Jahr am Ostermontag den Bürgern des Ortes zugänglich gemacht
wird. Am Ostermontag findet ausserdem die Veranstaltung "Giostra
del Saraceno" statt, ein historisches Turnier in antiken Kostümen.
Den Gästen der Anlage steht ein unabhängiges Wohngebäde zur
Verfügung, in dem sich zwei Zimmer, ein grosser Wohnraum und eine
Küche befinden. Im Herrenhaus befindet sich ausserdem ein weiteres
Zimmer mit privatem Bad und Terrasse.
Nel centro di San
Gregorio, si trova questa singolare abitazione storica ad un solo piano
in puro stile siciliano. La residenza fu nell'Ottocento la dimora di
campagna del principe Borghese. Varcato il cancello ci si trova nel
grande parco con prato all'inglese e alberi ad alto fusto, panchine e
grande porticato ombreggiato da rampicanti dove è possibile
trascorrerre piacevoli momenti di riposo. All'interno del parco oltre ai
tre corpi abitativi si trova anche una chiesetta del XIV secolo
(monumento storico) che il sindaco di San Gregorio ha richiesto di
aprire al pubblico ogni lunedì di pasqua quando ha luogo anche la
Giostra del Saraceno, manifestazione tradizionale in costume
trecentesco. A disposizione degli ospiti un corpo abitativo indipendente
dove si trovano due camere, un ampio soggiorno e una cucina. Nel corpo
abitativo patronale si trova, inoltre, un'altra camera con bagno privato
e terrazzo.
Villa Vita Bella is
located in the center of San Gregorio, on the outskirts of the
historical city of Catania on the western Sicilian coast. The 1800’s
estate was originally designed as a summer residence to prince Borghese.
Across the secular front gate, guests will find the impeccable private
gardens and grand lawn, where shade-kissed benches offer the perfect
setting for tranquil and restful afternoons. The estate also comprises
three main buildings that serve as living quarters and a 14th century
church, a structure classified as a national monument. Because of its
beauty and historical significance, at the request of San Gregorio’s
mayor, every Easter Monday the church is open to the public. Vita Bella
guests can select between two alternative accommodations. Facing the
gardens, guests can find an independent two-bedroom unit with a large
living room and a fully functioning kitchen. Also available to our
guests, in the main building of the estate, is a large and comfortable
bedroom with private bathroom and terrace. Our guests have also full
access to the estate gardens, swimming pool, and reserved parking.
